Anders x Scrutineer '23 Colt

ABR has secured Lot 116, Anders x Scruitineer Colt at the 2025 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

"A physically strong colt, that is built and bred for speed."

We were thrilled to secure this flashy chestnut colt at approximately half the price we thought he would fetch.  Another where we find value at backing a young sire by a gun sire in Anders, of Not a Single Doubt, when his 2-year-olds are just now hitting the track.

Anders was a fast and precocious racehorse and indeed one of the fastest sons of his record-breaking stallion.  He stills holds a race record from the San Domenico Stakes and defeated multiple Group 1 winner Ole Kirk in the Listed Rosebud Stakes.  His progeny are showing up in some of the country’s most astute stables who are keen to jump on board with the proven speed bloodline that the Not a Single Doubt family provides.  Not a Single Doubt needs no introduction. His progeny have amassed over $167 million in prizemoney from 830 winners, 84 of them at Stakes grade including Golden Slippers, Blue Diamonds and most Group races across the country.

This colt is the first foal out of the four-time winning and stakes placed mare Scrutineer. We have a good record of finding the right first foals, with Dubai Focus a recent success story having been carefully selected as a physically forward first foal.  This colt shows no sign of being physically immature and has plenty of size and stature. The 2^nd dam was also a four-time winning and stakes placed mare, and further back the third dam had a great strike rate of runners to winners (7 from 8) and herself was a half to a 10 time winner and stakes winner in Future Shock.

A yearling that looks like a 2-year-old. Everything points to him being fast and forward. We are excited to start his education at Angaston Park and see where he can take us.
