We purchased Lot 170, the Better Than Ready x Gem Of Scotland brown filly, for $130,000 at the Magic Millions 2026 Gold Coast March Yearling Sale from the Daandine Stud draft.

This filly was another one we loved in this sale. This filly is the type you try to buy at this sale, fast early precocious speed. She won 4 in a row as a 2-year-old and was stakes placed twice. She earnt $487,350 in prizemoney and whilst she is the standout in the 1st 3 Dams her dam line includes the very good broodmare sire General Nediym and the legendary Luskin Star and Vain.

This filly improved through the sale to the point whereby the time she went through the ring there was no way we were leaving without her. Better Than Ready needs no introduction and of course we have had plenty of luck with his progeny including Magic Millions winning filly Skirt the Law.

This filly purchased from one of the best farms in Australia Daandine Stud who we have struck gold with previously with Isotope and who have also produced Written Tycoon and Capitalist amongst plenty others has an excellent temperament to go with her quality.

She will also race for the Rich Fillies QTIS bonuses and be able to race in the Magic Millions and QTIS race days her entire race career.

She was purchased for $130,000 and we believe in years prior she would have made more than this. We thought she was good buying at this price point.
