We are excited to partner with First Light Racing in a European 2yo colt purchased at the Tattersall's Craven Breeze Up Sale in the UK with an aim to head to the prestigious Royal Ascot Carnival in June this year with our latest acquisition.

BACKGROUND

The 2-year-old breeze up sales in Europe have great appeal and year after year produce 2-year-olds who go on to become champions. Recent examples include Australia's best racehorse Via Sistina along with well-known Australian Group 1 imports Light Infantry Man and Zaaki.

Others of note include Vandeek who will stand at stud in Australia this year and recent Group 1 winner of the Group 1 Al Quoz sprint in Dubai, Believing. He is trained by the outstanding up and coming trainer George Boughey who will be the joint trainer of this colt along with Tony.

The colt will spend his 2-year-old racing career in the Northern hemisphere and then join our stable in Australia as a 3-year-old.

THE MAN BEHIND THE PURCHASE - Stuart Boman

Stuart Boman is the Australian who has become the guru of purchasing exceptional racehorses from the European breeze up sales. His list of purchases is exceptional. They Include Australian Group 1 winners: Zaaki and Top Ranked.

THE TRAINERS - Tony Gollan and George Boughey

Tony Gollan needs no introduction having been Queensland's premier trainer for a remarkable 11 years in a row. He has trained 6 Individual Group 1 winners including Temple of Boom, Spirit of Boom, Jonker, Vega One, Krone and Antino. He is a master trainer and would be in any state in Australia. Tony is buying a share in the horse himself.

George Boughey is the up-and-coming new kid on the block. Having spent time in Australia with Gai Waterhouse and Lloyd Williams he ventured back to his homeland to set up his own establishment. In 6 years, he has become the trainer that everyone wants to have a horse with.

His current star the globetrotting Believing is fresh off a Group 1 victory in the Al Quoz Sprint in Meydan. She will now head to Royal Ascot and hopefully this colt will be there as well.

THE HORSE - Blue Point x Anahita Colt

Blue Point is Europe’s hottest young sire with Group 1 stars like BIG EVS and ROSALLION already flying the flag. He is out of a talented mare in multiple Group placed Anahita who has 100% record in the breeding barn with two winners from two to race.

She is a half-sister to Stakes Winners DJO FRANCAIS and SHUTTERBUG and also to Stakes placed Lakalas.

This colt impressed not just on time but with a beautiful stride, professional head carriage, and a strong gallop out and has all the hallmarks of a horse that we believe will go early and train on.

THE MISSION - Royal Ascot Coventry Stakes

He’ll join the stable of George Boughey in Newmarket, one of the most exciting young trainers in the UK, with a clear goal in mind: Royal Ascot 2025.

With the Group 2 Coventry Stakes on Tuesday 17 June, Day 1 of the Royal Ascot 2025 Carnival, firmly on the radar, this colt is the type to get us dreaming early — and with his scope and strength, he’s just as likely to train on and make his mark in Australia.
