Tricolours Racing are thrilled to introduce our latest yearling colt, secured at the 2026 Magic Millions Gold Coast sale - a powerful, athletic individual by Castelvecchio out of the Japanese-bred mare Shirayuki. From the moment he walked into the ring, he had presence, strength and purpose and we knew we had to get him. And we did!

To secure a colt of this quality, pedigree and physical scope at such outstanding value is incredibly exciting for our syndicate.

His sire, Castelvecchio needs little introduction. A champion racehorse and dual Group 1 taking out the 2019 Champagne Stakes (1600m) as a two-year-old and the 2020 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) as a three-year-old. He was a highly decorated performer, also achieving a second-place finish in the 2019 Cox Plate.

On the dam side, Shirayuki was a winner in Japan, bringing toughness, soundness and international bloodlines into the pedigree - attributes that are increasingly sought after in the modern thoroughbred. This blend of elite Australian class and proven Japanese resilience gives this colt a pedigree built for performance. He will be trained by Mitch Beer / George Carpenter at Kembla.
