Climb the Ladder
Climb the Ladder is talented; he is a horse we are extremely positive with in the fact we could improve his benchmark rating of 63 significantly. He is without doubt one of the least unexposed horses in Australia when being assessed on his benchmark rating.
His talent was first on display at his second start where he demoralised his rivals at Sandown by 4.75 lengths. Such was his display trainer Chris Waller went straight to City BM 72 level leapfrogging many other easier options. From there he has proven to be frustrating whilst regularly reminding everyone of his level of ability.
All of his starts besides his debut have been on Sydney and Melbourne Metropolitan tracks. He has his foot on the till having finished second in three of his last 4 starts in Sydney Metropolitan level. Those races are proving to be very good form races with the winners subsequently saluting at 4 of their combined next 10 starts at metro level.
He was defeated by the very promising Lancelot Du Lac last time out and we feel with a change in environment and time in our proven tried horse process he will rise through the grades very quickly. He will spell immediately and have a reset before we bring him back into work.
We see this gelding as the perfect horse for Qld racing, one who will enjoy the style of racing and the drop down in the overall strength of the racing pool at his distance range. He is a horse that could easily be competing at a high level in a short period of time.

Key Factors
Ideal bm rating of 63 leaves scope for plenty of wins. Effectively he is a Class 1 horse.
