Is this the next Campionessa for Te Akau?
A SECOND CHANCE (Listen to Mark Walkers thoughts in the video above)
We remember this filly well. She was one of our top classic filly picks as a yearling and was the highest-rated Contributer filly on our list at that sale. Unfortunately, she sat just above our budget at the time. As luck would have it, she later became part of the TAB Racing Club dispersal, giving us a rare second chance.
This filly has already completed her early education and has not yet been tested in any jumpouts, meaning all her raw potential remains untouched, exactly as she showed at the yearling sales. The difference now? She’s a 2-year-old, far closer to the racetrack than she was as a yearling. She could be ready to race as soon as this Autumn. She profiles as an ideal type for Mark Walker and Sam Bergerson, and it’s easy to see why.

THE CONTRIBUTER FACTOR AT TE AKAU (Campionessa Photo Above)
Contributer’s best filly and his best horse is Campionessa, trained by Te Akau. They know this breed exceptionally well and have prepared the very best Contributers. Campionessa took her owners on the ride of a lifetime, earning $1.4 million in stakes, winning the Group 1 Zabeel Classic at Ellerslie on Boxing Day, and the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes at Caulfield in Melbourne.
This filly comes from the exact same breeders as Campionessa, Simms Davidson of Mapperley Stud. And remember, Campionessa herself was a $68,000 NZD purchase (current exchange rate). Can lightning strike twice?
Te Akau has also trained another stakes-winning Contributer filly, Family Ties.
Best part?
She is already KARAKA MILLIONS NOMINATED and NZB eligible with no additional fees required for Karaka Millions entry. You're basically getting a top class Book One filly at a significant discount that has already been educated and ready to go with New Zealand's best stable.
And even better: she is already in work!
