Every year we purchase one colt that we can target the Spring of their three year old career. We've won the Geelong Classic twice in recent years and taken the likes of Grand Pierro all the way through to the Derby. This year we had Stardealt , a son of Dundeel, place in the Tasmanian Derby and this colt by Dundeel is our latest purchase that fits the profile.

Dundeel was a Champion three year old, a six time Group 1 winner and weight for age superstar in Australia. He is now a superstar of the breeding barn with seven individual Group 1 winners already under his belt, in short he is the all round success story. The dam , Play that Song, was a two time winner and city placed daughter of Smart Missile. One of the most prolific crosses in the stud book is Dundeel x Fastnet Rock, 33 runners for 22 winners, Smart Missile is of course a son of the great Smart Missile so the pedigree cross has the potential for success. It's a 20/20 cross on the G1 Goldmine pedigree matrix and this colt is bred on a similar cross to Tivaci and Sunsets, Sunsets of course is a son of Dundeel that ran third in 2023 VRC Derby. Our colt will stay 2400m and the pedigree matrix suggests he has the capacity to stay the Cup distance.
