Details
Our team have been lucky enough to secure a ready to race 2yr old filly, Enchaanted, under a lease arrangement from her owner. The bonus for leased horses there is no initial outlay to come on board.
This filly is by Exceedance and is out of a So You Think mare, Lanyard. Her pedigree page incudes the likes of multiple Listed and Group Winner Houtzen who kicked her successful career off by winning her fist 4 starts including the famed Magic Millions 2-Year-Old Classic.
Enchaanted's owner, Andrew Baddock of Baddock Bloodstock is a very experienced horse man and breeder, and we had success with leased horse through Andrew previously. Aureus Angel being our most recent success story.
Enchaanted arrives at our farm, Ballycapall this week and will have a few days spelling to recover from her trip up from NSW before commencing pre-training.
How a lease works
The Lessee is the temporary shareholder of the horse and is essentially renting shares by way of a paying portion of any prize money earned to the owner i.e. the lessee for a set period of time.
The Lessor (Owner) pays no on-going costs for the period of the lease and retains an agreed percentage of any prize money earned. In the case the agreement is line with industry standard of 20%.
The Lessees (temporary shareholders) are responsible for on-going costs eg Training, Spelling & other associated fees and split the remaining prize money (80%).
At the end of the agreed lease period the horse is returned to the Lessor (Owner).
If you would like to lease a share in this lovely filly or would like some more information, please feel free to contact me.
