Our first purchase for the year is a filly we just had to have! She’s out of our Star mare I Am A Star and by leading sire Extreme Choice, making her a full-sister to our very exciting filly Esha.

Selling as Lot 362, she was purchased form Newgate for $575,000. She presents a great opportunity to have fun at the races and carries strong residual value. Fillies with quality and pedigree like this are hard to buy, but we weren’t going back to Mornington without her.

Extreme Choice is doing freakish things off limited foal crops siring Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond winners through to Oaks and Melbourne Cup winners. Do we need to remind you how good her dam was? Ten wins, nine at Group level and the first 3yo filly to win what is now the Empire Rose.

The two-year-old out of the mare named Celestial Charm, also by Extreme Choice, has had two trials in Sydney for a second and first placing. She will be seen at the races soon and looks set to make an instant impact potentially adding further pedigree updates.
