He needs no introduction being the sire of nearly 200 stakes winners including star fillies such as VIA SISTINA, AVANTAGE, MOSHEEN, ATLANTIC JEWEL, CATCHY, SEA SIREN, SHOALS, UNFORGOTTEN, FIRST SEAL et al.
She is out of the High Chaparral (Sadler’s Wells) mare HERE COMES GYPSY, who is a half sister to multiple stakes winner and G1 runner up GYPSY DIAMOND and also recent stakes winner MIRAVAL ROSE.
Fastnet Rock has shown a great affinity over SADLER’S WELLS lined mares, including his brother FAIRY KING and three-quarter brother NUREYEV. These three are present in the dam’s pedigrees of 16 of his 36 Group 1 winners (45%). Overall, 36 of his 94 Group winners (38%) possess this line through their dams.
Fastnet Rock has been a champion sire of his generation and with them not being made any more, this filly presents as a special commodity. If you miss this one- you’ve missed them all!
It’s an extremely commercially appealing family. Her dam HERE COMES GYPSY was a $260,000 Chairmans Breeding Sale graduate and her second dam GYPSY TUCKER (Zabeel) was a $550,000 yearling before later selling through the broodmare sales for $800,000.
The mares half sister by Grunt (MIRAVAL ROSE) was a a $250,000 Magic Millions yearling and her other half sister, GYPSY DIAMOND (Not A Single Doubt) was a multiple stakes winner and G1 runner up before selling as a broodmare prospect for $1,300,000.
