Ocean Park has been a stalwart for Kiwi breeders. He has shown tremendous versatility as a stallion with Champion Sprinter Tofane through to Auckland Cup (3200m) winner Ocean Billy. Sandwiched in the middle as his other Group 1 winners are top horses Kolding and Kovalica.

She was purchased with Henry Dwyer who thought that she was more of a 1600m to 2000m type of horse who would get an Oaks trip as a three-year-old on brilliance rather than being an out-and-out staying type.

She has got plenty of length to her and a strong back end. She is all quality and will continue to develop into a really lovely filly. We believe this filly that will be capable of winning races at 1400m before extending out to an Oaks trip later in her three-year-old season.

She comes off the famed Waikato Stud who are one of the leading breeders in either hemisphere. Year after year they produce good racehorses. I Wish I Win, Orchestral, Atishu and Savaglee are just four horses currently representing the WS brand with distinction.

The filly will stay in New Zealand for eight weeks at Hallmark Stud to grow out and mature, then be flown to Australia to commence her breaking preparation.

Ocean Park was a five-time Group 1 winner on the track and has carried that form to the breeding barn. He has the above mentioned Group 1 winners as well as a host of other quality racehorses. Fillies such as Oceanex, High Emocean, Star Of The Seas and Rondinella.

DAM: FACADE

She comes from a real strong New Zealand family and her dam, Facade, is a three-quarter-sister to Group 1 Hawkes Bay Spring Classic and Group 1 Herbie Dyke winner Costume, also by Savabeel so the same cross as our filly.

Savabeel is building an imposing record as a broodmare sire. His daughters have produced 5 Group 1 winners so far including Ice Bath. The cross is also responsible for recent Group 1 VRC Oaks place-getter Hurry Curry.

品があり美しい立ち姿と、その軽快でしなやかな歩きが魅力の牝馬。
ニュージーランドの最大手の牧場である、ワイカトスタッドが誇る素晴らしい母系と、超大物を多数輩出している一流種牡馬のオーシャンパークの配合。
母父のサヴァビールは言わずもがな、オセアニアが誇る歴史的大種牡馬、で当然ながら母父としても多くのG1馬を輩出しています。目標はオークスですが、その馬体や動きからは十分なスピードもありそうで、マイルから中距離でも大舞台を目指せるのではないかと思います。

 

父オーシャンパーク

現役時代は1200mから2000mまで8勝し、そのうちコックスプレートを含むG1を５勝している名馬です。

2013年に種牡馬入りしてからはG1勝ち馬四頭を含む21頭のステークスウィナーを輩出している名種牡馬です。産駒には父同様スピードや持久力、そしてレースセンスに優れた特性を持つことが多く、G1四勝の名牝トファネ、G1三勝に超高額賞金レースのゴールデンイーグルを制したコルディング、QLDダービー勝ち馬のコヴァリカなどの超大物を輩出するだけではなく、勝ち上がり率60%を超えるアベレージの高さも魅力です。

2019-2020年シーズンにはN Zの種牡馬としてAUSとNZで最も賞金を稼いだリーディングサイアーにもなっています。

 

母ファサード

母は未出走ながらその仔タンゴクイーンはオーストラリアに輸出され２戦目で勝利を収めており、これからの活躍が期待されます。

また、ニュージーランドにおける非常に優秀な母系の出身で、ファサード自身もG1・スプリングクラシックとG1 ・ハービーダイクSの勝ち馬コスチュームの3/4姉妹です。

サヴァビールは母父としても素晴らしくアイスバスを筆頭に、これまでに5頭のG1勝ち馬を輩出しています。

 

本馬の魅力

本馬は中長距離を得意とする牝馬らしい運動神経のよい軽い動きが際立っています。均等に適度についた筋肉のある馬体には品があり、セリ期間中に何度下見を繰り返しても状態の落ちることがなくタフさも兼ね備えています。

2024年のG1・ビクトリアオークスで勝ち馬から2馬身半差の3着に好走したハリーカリーは、本馬と同じく父オーシャンパーク×母父サヴァビールという旬の配合であり、本馬もハリーカリー以上の活躍が期待できるでしょう。
