Details
Ocean Park is a five-time Group 1 winner, Cox Plate champion and former Champion Middle Distance Horse who has seamlessly translated his racetrack brilliance into a highly successful stallion career.
Now in his tenth season of runners, he sits third on New Zealand’s general sires’ table behind only Proisir and the all-time great Savabeel - a reflection of his sustained influence at the elite level.
Ocean Park produced a standout Trans-Tasman Oaks double, siring the quinella in the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks with Ohope Wins and Autumn Glory, while Ohope Wins went on to win the Australian Oaks in Sydney. Ohope Wins has now amassed $1.5 million in prizemoney with four wins from just eight starts, achieving it all in her first preparation.
Out of a Savabeel mare, out of an O’Reilly mare – one of the most successful crosses in the New Zealand stud book. From a great Group 1 family.
Her dam has had two to the races for two winners, both Metropolitan winners and one being Group 3 BRC Grand Prix Stakes placed, Kirikan.
She is a scopey, athletic filly. She has good size about her, great temperament and a lovely mover. She’s really coming into her own physically as she nears her 3yo year.
This filly has completed educational preparations through both our stables, progressing up to the stage of trialling without having a public outing.
We’re in no rush with this kiwi-bred, she will be better as a late 2yo, early 3yo.
She’s currently in work at Deagon, ready to race at the end of her 2yo year all going well.
