This quality filly has come up for lease and given the deep pedigree we think she represents a good opportunity for people to not only get into a good horse but it's also a very cheap way to “try before you buy”

 

How Does This Work?

 

Simple, we pay nothing upfront and get to race the horse for the next 2 years

 

Your responsibility is to pay your share of the upkeep and in return you will receive your share of 80% of the net earnings the horse produces – as owners we get 80% and the horse owner gets 20% of all prizemoney

 

Given this horse would easily owe the owner $80,000 plus it’s an awesome way to get involved having a horse with nothing to pay upfront and hence less risk

 

At the End of 2 years What Happens?

 

Basically, we hand the horse back – think of it as hiring the car for 2 years- you pay the upkeep – put the petrol in and then at the end of 2yrs you hand it back- but in this instance we have built in a “buy OPTION” in our favour.

 

If the horse is really good, we have an option to buy for $200,000 – obviously she would need to show she is going well to take this option up but with how much prizemoney can be won- this is a great way to have a racehorse but also reduce the risk

 

 

The Plan

 

She been given plenty of time to grow and has returned with a good report from the breaker. She is bred to run a distance like her mum, and we are very patient, and the aim is to try and see if she is good enough to run in the Oaks races in MLB, SYD and QLD – simple as they are generally small fields and there is a lot of money to be won in them. Being a staying horse they don’t run as early, but the good news is they run for more money if they can stay.

 

She will now have 4-5 weeks Rest and then head to Kris Lees

 

The Filly has been bred and raised at Kia Ora - one of the best farms in the land, so she will get every chance.

Your Commitment / Responsibilities

 

Fees

 

As an owner of the horse, you will pay for the horses' upkeep and well-being. This process will be managed by Australian Bloodstock and we charge $22pm for share to do this

 

Depending on where the horse is up to in its career you will have either spelling or training fees.

 

Spelling- for 5% on average will cost you approx. $70 pm

Training- for 5% on average will cost you approx. $300 pm

1. Let us know what share size you would like and what name you would like in the race Book 
2. We will then send you some ownership forms- which you fill out- to ensure the share is registered in your name and prizemoney gets paid to you.
3. Return the forms along with a valid Credit Card – which the training fees will be deducted from – Or if you prefer not to have a direct debit set up pay a “BOND” of $250 and this will be refunded at the end of the ownership period

 Shares Available are 2.5% (name in a syndicate) and 5% plus (name in the book)
