This year we have managed to secure some amazing lease opportunities for our owners and there is none better than this EXCEED AND EXCEED out of the Group winning mare MOQUEEN who has been named QUEENS CODE.

Bred and raised by one of the best studs in Australia (KIO ORA stud in the Hunter Valley), this filly was passed in for $150,000 at this years Melbourne Premier Sale. At the time of the sale in March, she was a little backward and not the fully furnished product. Kio Ora stud weren't prepared to give her away given her excellent pedigree and residual value as a breeding prospect so they decided to race this filly with Hayfields Racing and offer up some lease shares for our owners to grab. 

She has flourished since March and is developing into lovely filly as you can see in the photo. She has been ultra impressive in her first preparation at Pakenham and we couldn't be happier to have her in our system. She looks like a filly that will get out to 1400m and 1600m much like her mum who was a Stakes Winner over the miler in the Dulcify Stakes.

Kio Ora stud have paid for all her breaking in and early educations costs plus the transport down to Victoria so lease-holders will only have to start paying for her upkeep from 1 November 2025. 

The lease terms are as follows:

Term - the lease continues to the end of her 4yo season (31 July 2028) with a right to extend by a further year

Prizemoney Split - 80/20 which means that Kio Ora receive 20% of prizemoney and the lease-holders receive 80%. 

We have successfully leased many horses over the years including Miss Mo, Le Derriere, Native Girl et al. The great thing about leasing horses is that you don't have a big lump sum investment -  you just pay your share of the training expenses throughout the career of the horse.

If the horse is injured or doesnt measure up, we have the right to cancel and terminate the lease early and rerturn the filly to Kia Ora. On the other hand, if she ends up being as serious horse, you get to race her for the entire term of the lease.

Lease-holders receive all the same rights and benefits as any owner would including:

* Name in Racebook 
* Normal Raceday entitlements
* Payment directly from Racing Victoria
