Flashy Colt by Russian Camelot
By a stallion we’ve got a lot of time for in Russian Camelot, out of a fast family that should inject a good deal of speed into this colt.
Russian Camelot broke the mould as a stallion, able to win a 3yo Classic with the significant disadvantage of being northern hemisphere bred and consequently six months younger than his rivals. He was obviously a very good horse, training on to be competitive in many of our best handicaps and weight for age races, including a dominant win in the Underwood beating Humidor and Arcadia Queen. He’s got a number of promising 3yo’s going through the grades at present and his progeny appear to have a real bit of x-factor about them.
The colt’s dam, Kaleidoscope Eyes is a sibling to multiple stakes winner and promising sire Graff, as well as stakes placed Steel Diamond and multiple city winners Sparkly Star and Sugartown. Although by a staying stallion, it wouldn’t surprise to see this colt at the races as a late 2yo, before being best served over 1600-2000m at three.
Shares are available in this colt at $8732 per 5% inclusive of purchase price, GST, race series nomination, insurance, vetting and sales commission.
