Tried Horse - Russian Sky

Russian Sky's last 6 starts have reaped 1 x 1st, 2 x 3rds, 1 x 2nd. This fast, tough and very elegant mare is almost always in the frame and money. She is a real beauty to look at too. Wonderful confirmation. Currently trained by Sara Ryan (trainer of the Big Dance winner Attractable 2023). WINNING on 31.7.2026 on a heavy 9 over 1000m from the widest barrier.

The track record for 1000m at Wangaratta is 56.2secs - set on a fast track in 1999. Russian Sky won by 1.75l going away from them in 1.00.91 on a heavy 9 track. The brilliant Dylan Dunn aboard rode her out. Look at the replay - he never had to draw his whip. Stunning win. Stunning riding.

Russian Sky gets her toughness and speed from her dam a New Zealand speedster Miss Bindi who won 6 races, including a Group 3 winner over 1100 to 1600 metres. Miss Bindi (NZ) was by the legendary Kiwi broodmare sire Don Eduardo (by Zabeel from the potent Eight Carat blood line).

Don Eduardo's daughters produce outstanding equine athletes: Kabayan(Group 2 winner and G1 placed), Xpression, Bahana, and Wimbledon Group 1 Bonecrusher New Zealand Stakes) and Seabrook (winner of the Group 1 ATC Champagne Stakes).

By Russian Camelot a sire with time on his side. His progeny are proving to be horses that just keep getting better with age. Russian Camelot is the sire of 20 first crop winners - and his progeny get better with time. As a multiple Group 1 winner and place getter, Russian Camelot was dominant in 1600-2500m races.
