Trainer Ben Brisbourne is buzzing:
“She’s a lovely filly – has a bit of everything about her. Competitive, forward, and she’s got that little bit of spice that really good fillies have. I’ve sat on her myself and was extremely impressed. She’s as forward a yearling as we’ve had in years – I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.”
By SHAMUS AWARD – the dual Group 1 superstar who won the Cox Plate as a 3YO maiden – and now one of Australia’s hottest sires with 6 individual Group 1 winners including Oaks, Derby and Caulfield Cup champions. With the recent passing of “Snitzel”, we’re looking to Shamus Award’s sons to carry the torch at stud.
From the outstanding family of "Typhoon Tracy", our filly is a 20x20 Goldmine match and bred on the same proven cross as multiple Group 1 winner Lady Shenandoah ("Snitzel" over "Starcraft"). Her full sister A Pinch of Luck is a 6-time winner, successful on debut as a 2yo and ran at Group level as a 3yo. This cross works – and we’re thrilled to have her.
She was the very first lot at this year’s Inglis Classic Sale, and when she passed in to an empty ring, we swooped – negotiating a bargain for our owners. She’s a beautiful, correct filly with a clean scope, clear X-rays, and the advantage of being an early foal (13th August) – giving her every chance to be up and running as a 2YO.
Now in work with Ben Brisbourne, the #2 country trainer in Australia last season (78 winners), she’s turning heads. Ben trains our stable star Suparazi – a $15k bargain who’s won almost $1.1 million and placed in multiple Stakes races and running 5th in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap, proving that value buys really can reach the top.
