This cracking Shamus Award filly is your chance for REAL ownership at an affordable price with the Champion Trainer Ciaron Maher

Here’s a strong, good-bodied filly with plenty of quality who presented very well at the sales, but importantly, she was also one that we felt still had plenty of improvement to come.

She's a very attractive daughter of SHAMUS AWARD, a Cox Plate winner who has gone on to become an outstanding source of high-class racehorses. And importantly for us, he's shown a particular ability to produce top-class fillies and mares. His daughters include the likes of DUAIS, EL PATRONESS, MEDIA AWARD, SWATS THAT and QUINTESSA.

Turn to our filly’s pedigree page and there’s quality everywhere.

The family is littered with good horses including MINHAAJ, REWARD FOR EFFORT, SUYOOF, CHARMED HARMONY, Champion 2YO Filly OVERREACH, as well as LOFTY STRIKE and GRAFTERBURNERS.

It’s a family packed with speed, precocity and genuine Group-class ability.

Rather than rush her, we’ve given her the time she needed to grow, strengthen and develop — and several months down the track, she’s done exactly what we hoped she would. She’s really starting to furnish into a lovely filly.

“Patience — the cheapest thing in racing and the least used” –BART CUMMINGS

This season marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Grand Syndicates, with our first horses being placed with Ciaron Maher. Ciaron’s record at the elite level speaks for itself, but something that particularly appeals to us is the extraordinary success his stable has enjoyed with fillies and mares. SET SQUARE, JAMEKA, BELLA NIPOTINA and the enormously popular PRIDE OF JENNI. These are just some of the outstanding females to have been trained or co-trained by Ciaron.

So, when we were looking for the right stable for this filly, we thought she was an excellent fit. And it seems the stable agreed. When we showed them her pedigree and discussed the filly with them, the response to training her was a resounding “yes”.

Put it all together and we’ve got a filly by a stallion we know and admire, from a very strong winning family, who's been given time to develop exactly as we hoped she would — and she’ll now be given every opportunity with one of the most successful stables in Australian racing.

There’s plenty to like about this filly. We’re very much looking forward to seeing what she can become, and we’re very much looking forward to racing her with you!
