A lightly raced 3yo Thoroughbred gelding by Contributor, who showed serious closing speed in Saturday grade at Ellerslie.
We’re excited to secure this lightly raced 3YO gelding by Contributor, who impressed flashing home from near last to finish 4th first-up over 1400m in Saturday grade at Ellerslie, New Zealand. (watch the replay below - black colours, white nose roll).
Second-up, he again contested an unsuitable 1400m trip and was caught in the inferior ground - yet still ran the 2nd fastest last 200m of the race, highlighting his natural ability and late turn of foot.
Still raw and learning his craft, he’s a horse with plenty of improvement to come - and we can’t wait to develop him further at Angaston Park.
We see him as a high-end metropolitan grade miler/stayer over the next 2-4 seasons.
