The timing could not be more exciting for our Starspangledbanner × Kylix filly, with her sire continuing to reaffirm his standing among the world’s most influential stallions. Starspangledbanner recently achieved the remarkable feat of siring the Irish Group 1 Guineas double, with Gstaad winning the Irish 2,000 Guineas and champion filly Precise winning the Irish 1,000 Guineas, before Precise added another elite victory in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. These results demonstrate his extraordinary ability to produce not only brilliant, precocious two-year-olds, but genuine international Group 1 and Classic performers. With yearlings selling for as much as 900,000 guineas, Starspangledbanner is now one of Europe’s most highly regarded and commercially sought-after proven sires—making us even more excited to have secured this athletic Rosemont filly from a proven family for just $70,000.

Jason is no stranger to success with Rosemont-bred Starspangledbanner progeny. The stable has already enjoyed outstanding results with horses such as Group 2 winner Brooklyn Hustle, Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude winner Palm Angel, and Group 3 winner Treasureway. That proven association with Rosemont and Starspangledbanner made this filly especially hard to go past.

Jason said he fell in love with her immediately, noting that she reminded him very much of Palm Angel, with that same athletic physique, balance and presence. She is the type of filly that catches your eye straight away — athletic, sharp and very much in the mould of the horses we have had success with before.

The pedigree only adds to the appeal. She is out of Kylix, a daughter of Lonhro, and this is a family the stable already knows well. We also have her Exceedance half-brother in the stable, and he has pleased us with the way he is going early in his career. That firsthand experience with the family gave us even more confidence in this filly as a purchase.

Her full brother Packing Phoenix, also by Starspangledbanner out of Kylix, was purchased for $560,000 before heading to Hong Kong, where he has already gone on to race successfully.
