It was great to be back at the Inglis Classic Sale in 2026. I Am A Star was purchased at the 2015 Classic Sale and we've found some lovely horses in between.

An early start on Day 2 of this year’s sale saw us secure Lot 298, a strong and athletic Stay Inside x Perfect Persuasion colt from Glen Gallic Stud for $140,000.

The Champion Two-Year-Old in his Golden Slipper–winning season, Stay Inside raced just four times as a juvenile, winning three, including Australia’s most coveted two-year-old race. A son of sire sensation Extreme Choice, Stay Inside has made an outstanding start with his first crop.

From just six runners, he has already produced three winners, highlighted by Group 3 Breeders’ Plate winner Incognito. In addition, Eviction Notice has placed at Group level in the Canonbury Stakes and is firmly on a Golden Slipper path.

Perfect Persuasion is a sister to Champion Filly Alinghi. She was placed in the Listed Talindert Stakes at her second start, ran fourth in the Group 3 SAJC Breeders’ Stakes, and later won over 1200m at her first start as a three-year-old.

Her dam, Oceanfast, was an exceptional producer — 13 named foals, 12 raced, 11 winners. Perfect Persuasion is continuing that legacy impressively, with six runners for six winners, including three stakes performers, all showing two-year-old ability.

Further strengthening the page is Encosta De Lago as the broodmare sire — a Champion Stallion and outstanding influence as a dam sire, responsible for 22 Group 1 winners, including Marhoona, Alabama Express, Alligator Blood, and Fangirl.
