Ned’s pick of the sale, this filly was one we were particularly excited to secure and put on a ticket home to Angaston. Another yearling by a champion sire, she is a filly that clearly stamps herself with quality and presence.

A filly built more like a colt, she was bred and prepared by the proven team at Waikato Stud and carries a touch of attitude — a trait we love to see in our fillies. With Written Tycoon as her broodmare sire, she possesses both the pedigree and the conformation to generate genuine, raw speed on the racetrack.

She is the second foal of River Flow, an unraced full sister to Group 3 winner Acquarello, and the depth in this dam line is impossible to ignore. Black-type performers such as Captivant ($1.2 million), Kulgrinda ($538,000) and Headwater ($460,000) underline the family’s ability to produce elite performers.

Her sire Super Seth continues to go from strength to strength, having been crowned New Zealand Champion First Season Sire (2023/24) and Champion Second Season Sire (2024/25). He brings together the outstanding Sadler’s Wells influence through High Chaparral and Dundeel, combined with the proven power of Redoute’s Choice as his broodmare sire — a page rich in equine royalty. A high-class racehorse himself with an explosive turn of foot and exceptional looks, it was no surprise we were keen to secure a second Super Seth yearling at the sale.

From her parade video, this filly shows excellent depth of girth, a striking shoulder and a fluent, athletic overstep. She has inherited the physical attributes and presence of her elite bloodlines, giving her every opportunity to perform at the highest level.
