TRAPEZE ARTIST - SOHO RUBY (by Northern Meteor)

With four elite level victories under his impressive belt, Trapeze Artist is the most successful Gr.1 son of the four time Champion Sire Snitzel and now he is doing the job at stud as a reliable source of winners.

When you race a Trapeze Artist you have a good chance of having some decent fun with 43% of his winners being at least city class. Three of his debut crop progeny are stakes winners including the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas hero Griff. Another 13 of his runners are stakes placed and another 27 are metropolitan winners.

Trapeze Artist's oldest runners are only four and considering that he improved as he matured, the best is still to come.
Stakes performed and city winning mares make the best broodmares and Soho Ruby (a $190,000 yearling and $240,000 broodmare) ticks those boxes having won five of her 23 starts including two at Flemington and two at Sandown.

Catching the eye when charging home late for a Gr.3 Frances Tressady Stakes placing, Soho Ruby has been a regular visitor to Trapeze Artist and by him she has already produced a very nice type in Soho Artist who at her most recent outing for the Bjorn Baker stable absolutely bolted in at Goulburn - her second success from just six starts

Soho Ruby's dam Red Rapture is by the much missed Northern Meteor who has been doing such a great job as a broodmare sire with 13 stakes winners including the Gr.1 Randwick Guineas winner Communist.

Red Rapture is a daughter of the stakes winning high class broodmare New Acquaintance - also dam of the Gr.1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Knowledge and the Gr.3 Tesio Stakes winner Maslins Beach.

Another Blue Diamond winner in Midnight Fever hails from this prolific family as does the popular champ Igloo. It is a family that has as its matriarch the great Lady Josephine... it would take a few pages to list her best descendants but she continues to make her mark felt in this part of the world. Such as via the deeds of Eight Carat whose latest success story is the recent Gr.1 Australian Guineas winner Feroce.

This striking filly boasts a cross of the quality stallion Red Ransom and ten of the 136 winners line-bred to him are stakes winners.

And she is bred on the successful Redoute's Choice/Northern Meteor cross; two outstanding stallions who have combined in the pedigrees of 25 stakes winners; three Gr.1 winners including Zoustar.
