We’ve hit the board again at the Inglis Classic Sale with this athletic Wild Ruler x Woburn Abbey filly from Kingstar Farm. Offered as Lot 584, we secured her for just $50,000.

She’s a lovely type of filly and one I simply couldn’t go past. She’s a complete athlete — a beautiful, fluent mover with good strength, width and hip, and she is correct in her action. I thought she represented excellent value at the price. She’s not going to have to do a lot on the track to get us back in front, and I don’t expect there to be significant training bills before we start getting serious with her and have her up and going.

Wild Ruler recently sired his first winner and has a number of Stakes performers already, meaning that they have been running in all the key two-year-old races. He has only had the eight runners at the time of purchasing this filly and the feedback on his stock has been really positive.

We currently have a Wild Ruler two-year-old in the stable that we purchased last year and hold a very good opinion of her, so we were keen to target another one or two this year and were delighted to land on this filly.

Every dam on the page is a winner, and she traces back to Marquise as the fourth dam — a prolific broodmare. This branch of the family has produced notable performers including Octagonal, Shower Of Roses, Diamond Lover, Mouawad, Don Eduardo and Tristalove.
