Lot 255 is by first season sire Hello Youmzain out of a Zabeel half sister to Amelia’s Dream and several other stakes class horses. The French sire had his first yearlings take to sales grounds this year in the southern hemisphere and our stable already have five of his progeny which all look to be trainable, straightforward horses with good minds at this early stage. The stallion has already had twenty-eight wins in the Northern Hemisphere including two stakes at stakes level with the best being G3 victor Electrolyte, who was also narrowly denied in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot beaten a short half head. Hello Youmzain also leads the French First season sire table with the most winners, blacktype horses and prizemoney!
With the sires first southern hemisphere progeny now beginning to step out he has made a promising start with two debutant winners in New Zealand recently. The first being the highly promising Remala completing a first to last romp in Saturday metropolitan grade whilst Lucy In The Sky made every post a winner in a near two-length victory.
The dam, Ziffel, is by the three time Australian champion broodmare sire of the year in Zabeel whose daughters have gone onto produce the likes of Dundeel, Ocean Park and Atlantic Jewel. Not only being by one of the best sires in recent history the dam is also a half sister to the highly talented Amelia’s Dream who initially won on debut by over nine lengths in city grade before taking out the G2 Silver Slipper by over six lengths at just her second start. Unfortunately she was scratched as a very short priced favourite for the Golden Slipper due to a serious injury and subsequently retired to stud. This also makes her a half sister to stakes performers Elimbari and Youbolt whose families have gone onto produce the likes of Young Wether, Vincere Volare and About Time.
The gelding has arrived safely to Australia following the sale and has completed his first campaign in a very positive manner. He was a very neat, correct horse who looks to be in line with the progeny we are familiar with, it is also important to note he was vetted with low risk x-rays and clean scope. We think this is a racehorse who represents great value considering the pedigree, individual and what we are seeing so far, his sire stands for close to $70,000 in Europe!
